FORT LAUDERDALE / MIAMI - IMMIGRATION RESIDENCY & GREEN CARDS
Legal Permanent Residency Cards are issued to resident aliens who want to remain in the United States. If you plan to remain in the United States for a long period of time, you will need to apply for and receive a Green Card. You should contact me, Attorney Gabriel Jose Carrera, to help you with this matter. I have the staff, knowledge and experience to assist you in applying for your Green Card. Call today at (954) 533-7593 or email me at Gabriel@attorneythatrides.com to make an appointment.

NOTICE!!! If you have been CONVICTED OF A CRIME, you should make an appointment with an Immigration Attorney BEFORE MAILING YOUR APPLICATION. USCIS performs background checks on all renewal applications and refer those individuals with qualifying convictions to Immigration Court for removal (deportation) proceedings!

Permanent immigration is the ultimate goal of many people entering or planning to enter the United States. Lawful permanent residency offers individuals a multitude of benefits, including the freedom to live and work permanently in the U.S. Potential immigrants should be as informed about the laws as possible. That's why I am dedicated to providing you with as much information during one of our legal consultations.

Types of Permanent Residency
There are two (2) basic types of permanent residency status, for which you would get a green card.
  • Individuals who may acquire permanent residency without numerical limitation.
  • Individuals subject to a yearly limitation. There are three divisions of this category:
    1. Family-based
    2. Employment-based
    3. Diversity immigrants.

The New Green Card
The Legal Permanent Residency Card, known as the Green Card, has been changed. As of May 11, 2010, the USCIS began issuing new Green Cards with several new security features. These features include digital information, holograms, and these Green Cards actually send a radio signal. When the proper authorities read the signal, they can determine the identity of the cardholder.
